If you think about it, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all currently within a degree of their stationing points, which isn’t hard for Neptune and Pluto because they don’t move much anyway, but it does suggest that just now is probably an intense time for an unusually large number of people. It certainly is for me. And it is in British politics. Is it intense for many of you out there?
I’ve been waiting for a long time now for the next phase of my life to start. I don’t know a lot about it yet, but I’ve had a couple of signs recently that it is imminent. I was in a sweat lodge in March, it was ‘my’ round, and a cockerel started crowing (it was the middle of the day). He kept it up for most of my round, and did not crow at any other point in the lodge. That cockerel’s trying to tell me something, I thought, something about a new beginning. And I was born in the year of the Rooster. Then a few weeks ago I was again in a sweat lodge, it was my round, and the same cockerel began crowing again, but did not crow at any other point in the lodge. That’s why I think something may start to happen soon, or rather WILL happen: you have to have faith in these things. And now I know what my ‘Power Animal’ is: it’s a chicken! Do any of you get spoken to by birds and animals?

Ah yes, crows. A few years ago I was undergoing a soul retrieval during which I heard a flock of crows cawing. It was in the summer, but after dusk, and I thought it odd that crows were cawing at 9 o'clock at night. I mentioned it to the healer afterwards when we were discussing our experiences. She said, "Doreen, there are no crows here." That was about five years ago, a time when I felt very stuck in my life and wasn't sure I would ever get unstuck. I have a whole new life now. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. I still do at times hear flocks of crows where there are none, most recently when I received a Reiki attunement, and sometimes the real ones show up, too. I met a couple of handsome fellows in Death Valley last February.
dang. got my comment eaten and lazy rewrite but glad you're feeling better, DR.
I do love birds and animals, but they don't really speak to me in the way you mean.
Rainbows speak to me though.
I often see one when I'm feeling "down", or at a crossroads, and my spirits lift immediately. It's not always a real rainbow, but it often is. Sometimes it's the sun shining through some crystals hanging in our kitchen window.
I hope your rooster brings good news soon, Dharmaruci
Mt siamese cat speaks to me all the time, and often stares at me as if she is reading my mind. Her Aq. moon is on my Aq sun, so she would, I guess.
Heh. Your story reminded me of a beloved cartoon from my youth, Super Chicken!
My cats yammer at me constantly, but other than a few painfully obvious comments ("feed me!" "throw me that toy!"), I'm afraid I'm at a loss as to what they're on about. If they're my power animals, I'm totally screwed.
I just looked up "rooster" in the 'Dictionary of Bird Totems' from the book "Animal Speak".
The keynote for Rooster is Sexuality, Watchfulness, and Resurrection.
Qualities associated with Rooster:
Enthusiasm
Humor
Eccentricity
Direct Approach to Life
New Sense of Optimism
Sounds like a great totem to have!
Dear Dharmaruci,
I would guess that those who want to communicate with you and have no lips for speaking are delighted that you have come to see chickens as your message-bringers. They've probably tried to reach you before and been frustrated. Now, they can always go through a chicken and you'll take notice.
I always get a grounded sense of expansion from reading your words.
I too experience many flying things as totems or messengers. Sometimes I wonder if they are alarms to focus my attentions or truly reminding me to lift up my thoughts and sing more.
Having a sagg moon might inspire more things of flight to unconsiously appeal to your senses, no? I have my south node in sagg in the 8th house so often I feel a philisophical reflective quality of what is transforming as I let go and move onto lighter more valuable present time thoughts.
I still would love for you to do my chart. Especially as it relates to childbirth for older women since I am 42 and trying to conceive despite being divorced now and single. I don't want to go into this unconscious and be an old mother but I do feel ready finally...
Perhaps we could do a skype reading computer to computer? And I could pay you via PayPal. Ah, modern technology.
Cheers,
MaryBeth
I've got your chart on my computer - did I never comment on it? I don't think I did, but I probably meant to and it got overlooked or something. So email me at Dharmaruci71AThotmail.com and we'll take it from there.
