“Almost half of Britain’s mosques are under the control of a hardline Islamic sect whose leading preacher loathes Western values and has called on Muslims to “shed blood” for Allah, an investigation by The Times has found.
Riyadh ul Haq, who supports armed jihad and preaches contempt for Jews, Christians and Hindus, is in line to become the spiritual leader of the Deobandi sect in Britain. The ultra-conservative movement, which gave birth to the Taleban in Afghanistan, now runs more than 600 of Britain’s 1350 mosques, according to a police report seen by The Times.”
We are certainly reaching the culmination stage of Pluto in Sagittarius! You don’t have to be a neo-con to protest about the government of Britain letting this happen. On the other hand, every time the government has moved to restrict these fundamentalists, you have people protesting about human rights and making it very hard for the government to act. I think that liberalism has its excesses, and we have to accept that occasionally we will go through periods where there are dangers, and rights do have to be curtailed, and once the danger is over we can relax again. It is not necessarily sinister when a government brings in these sorts of measures. It will inevitably happen from time to time. Though I can understand that if it is the Bush government doing it, it probably is sinister!
What we need is responsible government, by which I do not mean extreme right wing. What we need is Pluto in Capricorn! Bring it on!

There was another example yesterday. A gay male couple had become foster parents, and it turned out they were sexually abusing the young boys in their care. The authorities had not subjected this couple to the usual ongoing level of scrutiny for fear of being thought homophobic. More liberal excess. Bring on Pluto in Capricorn!
George Bush is Pluto in Sag – government by ideology – rather than Pluto in Capricorn, which is more grounded, and responds to actual circumstances. As Pluto moves into Capricorn next year, he will increasingly be seen as out of step with the spirit of the times.

And check out the British Conservative Party, DR!!! Has a Capricorn Asc. Pluto in Capricorn! Bring it on!!!
You're just an old Tory, Annabel! So what's Dave going to do about these fundamentalist preachers?
Saturn has moved into Virgo now, so David C. no longer has his Mars blocked. I had a senior moment a while back, his unaspected Mars is 27 leo 50 actually, not 21. He is now kicking a bit of ass, and from next Autumn, we get the tail wind. I dont count 2008, as Pluto retro back to Sag through the summer may well be interesting. Anyway, I remember your article saying that the Tory redeemer will be in power after 2010. and Gordon ending up as tail end Charlie!
You probably need Pluto settled into Cap to give the oomph to kick out the fundamentalist islamists.
I don't see why the whole population should have their civil liberties curtailed by government to contain radical Islam. That just allows the situation to spread by keeping the same policies but moving towards a police state to manage the effects of those policies.
Would Pluto in Capricorn be ruthless and disciplined enough to restrict the spread of this in Britain by curbing immigration and deporting extremists not born here instead of depriving the many not responsible for this of their liberties?
The July 7 bombers were British, so it's not a matter of restricting certain foreigners. The trouble is, you can't easily make one law for one set of people and one for another. I think we just need to put up with certain restrictions for a while until the danger is reduced.
Yes, our policies, like invading Iraq, have partly caused it, and those policies need to change. But you're also dealing with a religion many of whom consider themselves superior to us 'kuffars', and that justifies all sorts of acts against us.
I think that perhaps these fundamentalist teachers need interning for a few years, and government control of who runs the mosques. I don't know, something like that. Right wing, yes, but temporary. I think some of our 'rights' can be a bit of a luxury when it comes to facing real dangers.
And another thing: those Muslim schools need to be shut down. And the catholic schools. All faith-based schools. These kids need to be taught that there's more than one way of seeing the world - this is part of a civilised education.
Actually, maybe we also need to leave it to the younger generation, many of whom apparently look on their fundamentalist parents as idiots.
Long live the generation gap!
