The October New Moon

Every month there is a New Moon, and it sets the agenda for the coming month. The New Moon that has been with us this month occurred at the end of September, and I'm drawing attention to it because it was powerful: Sun and Moon in early Libra in a fairly close t-square with Uranus and Pluto. Set for New York, the t-square is Angular and well describes the Occupy protest which began in New York and has spread over the world. Libra wants justice and balance, Uranus protests and Pluto wants to reclaim power. You don't often get astrology as good as this.

Cardinal New Moons tend to initiate action, and at present they can be particularly pokey because of Uranus and Pluto also being cardinal. The next one is in late December. It is not Angular in New York, but the New Moon is conjunct Pluto and trine to Jupiter Rising, suggesting a New Year of good economic news. However, Jupiter is in a t-square with Venus and Angular Saturn, suggesting it will be a false dawn.

The October New Moon did not have anything on the Angles in London, but the January New Moon has Uranus on the MC, suggesting protest and government instability in the UK that month:

I set off on this piece having listened to a double-act by Rick Levine and Jeff Jawer on the astrology for October. They're good!

You can bless or blame the instant communication system that has grown out of the internet/wireless setup. The voice of the people will be heard. Looks to me like the Maya long-count calendar truly is the end of this cycle and a new one -- and let's hope a good one --starts next year.
Look, things are changing. Nobody likes change. Change is hard and it's crappy and you deal with it and get on with what you're doing.

Rick&Jeff are awesome! I look forward to the first Thursday of the month. I'm no wizard, but what I've learned about astrology comes from them and Lynn and you! I'm slowly finding balance! Thanks Jenni-OMG
