One is the universe, life (inherently dual) ... the other oneness, connection with source. it's a mystery. The old light and dark, good and evil paradigm is unhelpful and shows only your own lack of self-awareness.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-89528189013981823492013-06-30T12:31:16.486+01:002013-06-30T12:31:16.486+01:00Very interesting. Rational or Irrational? Is that a rational question anyway? It does not really matter, as you say, it IS and atunning to what is, is what matters. The ways to do it are varied. As said, interesting and with application to the collective too.
Cheers,
NicMagic Dragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03058470485175140238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-51249811200499892832013-06-28T14:08:40.177+01:002013-06-28T14:08:40.177+01:00Thanks For ThE Nice Blog..Thanks For ThE Nice Blog..Pisces Weekly Horoscopehttp://www.truthstar.com/horoscope/pisces_weekly_horoscope.aspxnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-43392565747961427482013-06-21T03:03:40.935+01:002013-06-21T03:03:40.935+01:00Love your blog - I've been research what is as...Love your blog - I've been research what is astrology and this made for a great read! What is Astrologyhttp://www.whatisastrology.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-57746111500288420742013-06-18T09:14:01.799+01:002013-06-18T09:14:01.799+01:00DR - you may not like written delineations but thi...DR - you may not like written delineations but this is brilliant. I've just read his autobiography, and came away from it with much the same conclusions - only you express them better! The process ended up a skim-read: I became increasingly impatient with the almost oppressive insistence on superficiality. I clearly remember an interview he gave... somewhere (I can't remember where or when, unfortunately. It was a very long time ago. I've since tried to find it online, without success, I'd like to read it again), in which he spoke of his distaste for quantum physics, preferring the beauty and perfection of Newtonian physics. For all his charm and lovableness (because I love him too, despite his arrogance), I've always found Stephen to be fantastically and irritatingly opinionated (Sun + Pluto?); very dismissive of anyone who disagrees with him - though he does sometimes change his mind, his once very fixed attitude to smoking, for example. I wonder what it would take to get him to question his adherence to the Church of Reason? Probably quite a lot. A pity. Such a compassionate, sensitive, complex man... it would be a fascinating thing to watch. ;)

And glancing at the chart again - would that Moon + Uranus trine Saturn combo explain his adoration of technology, I wonder?

Anyway - a fascinating article, one of your best ever. I would say this enhances Stephen's Venusian qualities, thus making him obsessional especially about details, and that this is a beneficial influence in his life.

I think he could take advantage of this quality, as he has already done in his life, by linking it in somehow to understanding his more unusual gentler qualities (which are probably part of his being gay) - this linking taking advantage of the aspects to Saturn and Uranus - then he would feel less reliant on this strong aspect and be able to spread the energy around the chart rather than having that difficult square overwhelm him.

Regarding Astrology being rubbish, I was of this opinion until I was sent to go and learn it by my father, as he said that if I had not studied it, how did I know if it was rubbish or not? Sir Isaac Newton (yes, this man of science was an Astrologer!) said to somebody who told him it was rubbish, "I, sir, have studied it. You have not."Talyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17283598817713518934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-83234168792057666672013-06-09T17:38:54.116+01:002013-06-09T17:38:54.116+01:00This piece is a special favorite of mine - thanks ...This piece is a special favorite of mine - thanks so much. barbara backusnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-86981566869739046642013-06-09T12:25:04.091+01:002013-06-09T12:25:04.091+01:00oops, forgot it was a flat chart...well, perhaps n...oops, forgot it was a flat chart...well, perhaps not on the MC, but that moon configuration is still very potent.clarelhdmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08792875524089684872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-49572505645271079452013-06-09T12:23:10.981+01:002013-06-09T12:23:10.981+01:00Thanks for a very interesting read, especially whe...Thanks for a very interesting read, especially where you point out that Fry seems to have trapped himself in a 'lightweight' witty persona, and is rigorously avoiding his real depth.
I don't think you can do a reading about this chart though without talking about his mother/feminine issues. There is obviously a lot of wounding there with the conjunction to Uranus all straddling the MC and the opposition to Chiron, semisquare to Jupiter con Venus. There are abandonment issues here, and a lot of internal pain. I know it is not fashionable (nor seen as politically correct) to analyze sexual orientation as part of ones psychological make-up, rather people see these things as totally genetic. But, as with Fry's 'bi-polar' diagnosis, I think it is limiting to see this orientation as only 'biological' and not part of his total energy set up. He clearly loves women, but can't approach them intimately, due to the deep woundedness related to the moon energy, which includes his body issues and issues of self loathing. Libra is bound to relate to the other, to find a balance, I think this is one of his demons, that he is unable to do this. In fact his intellectualism seems to be more a flight away from the body and its emotions than an embracing of the beauty of thought, hence that ascerbic edge to his rationality and his inability to stay away from rationalistic dogma, as you have well pointed out.clarelhdmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08792875524089684872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30912075.post-28236975744151225632013-06-08T20:51:57.618+01:002013-06-08T20:51:57.618+01:00Hi - Robert here. They want the world to come to them, according to Marc Jones, and frame everything according to their narrow span of direct experience.

The second thing that occurs to me is that no one who truly intends to commit suicide fails over and over. That would seem to indicate a need for attention. (If I can't get attention for good behavior, I'll get it through bad behavior.)

And it's always interested me why those who NO knowledge of Astrology have such vehement opinions about it. Invariably they won't devote an hour of study to it because they proclaim it rubbish before the fact. Very narcissistic reasoning within a house of mirrors.

His problems seem to indicate that he has not resolved his Mars square Saturn nor his Moon semisquare Venus/Jupiter in a satisfactory way.Roberthttp://www.aquariuspapers.comnoreply@blogger.com
